Pottery Painting 

This is pottery painting – but not as you know it!

We want you to have the very best experience when you come to paint pottery at our studios. As we are a ‘proper’ ceramics studio we know the value of providing quality materials and our glazes and fired pieces are the best available on the market.

We also know that rushing a precious piece is not the best way to guarantee a wonderful result.  We put on special pottery painting events each month on Fridays, Friday evenings, and Saturdays, where you can come and spend time with us in a relaxing, comfortable and tranquil studio. Our staff are all experienced ceramicists who can help and advise you as you design and decorate.

Friday morning pottery painting sessions

We offer 1.5 hour sessions on Friday mornings where you can come, choose from our wide range of pottery and enjoy some tranquil and creative time decorating a piece to your design.

There is a £5 seat reservation fee for each person attending the session.

Pottery and Pilates – New Year Re-set.

10.00 – 3.00pm

Cheshire Clay Studios have joined forces with  Katstudio.co.uk   our wonderful on-site Pilates Studio. Spend two hours stretching and flexing, with relaxation techniques.  A light, healthy lunch (and a glass of fizz!) then 2 hours of tranquil and creative pottery painting in our warm, cosy studios – with cake.  You’ll leave feeling refreshed in both mind and body, and with a beautiful piece of pottery that you can treasure.

£105.00 for the day. Includes lunch and £30 of pottery (extra charge for more expensive pieces)

Valentines’ Night

How better to spend a romantic evening than painting hearts and roses on our beautiful ceramic pottery. Choose from lots of romantic pieces, or add your own romantic touches to any of our wide range of quality bisqueware.

Be greeted with a glass of bubbly and feel free to bring along your own Valentine’s picnic to add to the romantic atmosphere of our cosy studio.    If a romantic partner is not on the scene,  have a great night out with friends instead!

£30 per person – includes welcome glass of bubbly. If you fall in love with one of our more expensive (and gorgeous) pieces, there will be an extra charge – but you are worth it….

Pottery Art Workshops

Think Wedgewood, Spode, Royal Doulton, Emma Bridgewater.  All these iconic names are famous for the decoration of their pottery.  At Cheshire Clay Studios we have talented ceramic artists who will guide you through the process of decorating either your own bisque fired piece, or one of our statement vases. These workshops are on Wednesday afternoons and are under the guidance of Lise Moorcroft (yes, the name is the clue!). At the end of the workshop you will have created something that will take pride of place in your home, or make a stand out special gift for a special occasion.
